Prior to starting Blue Gum Bookkeeping, I have spent the majority of my career working with the early education childcare sector. This included working for a government funded company that specialised in working with Long Day Cares and Preschools in NSW.

This experience has allowed me to hone my skills on the needs and legislative requirements for small businesses and not-for-profits within the early education childcare sector - turning it into a passion.

Whether your centre chooses to pay staff weekly, fortnightly or monthly can make a big difference to your cash-flow, especially when you consider the superannuation implications and deadlines too.

Blue Gum Bookkeeping will take some of the stress out of payroll and super by monitoring the annual Fair Work Increase, relevant Industry Awards, Classifications & Payrates (This includes any Enterprise Agreements, Individual Flexibility Agreements and Above Award percentage payments).

We can manage the accruals and uses of staff Annual Leave, Personal Leave, Long Service Leave, Rostered Days Off and Time in Lieu. This will include the journal entries for the monthly and quarterly provisions.
